His pots are hand built in several stages using three different sorts of clay, an interior 'craft crank', an intermediate layer and an outer layer of porcelain which is encouraged to buckle and crack. His works, which retain a vessel form, with dry, textured, subtly coloured surfaces, are derived from a study of elements found in the landscape.
