	Ilona BENKO (Hungary) Dates: b. 1937 Born in Hungary, she trained in sculpture at the Academy of Applied Arts, Budapest. She came to Wales in 1975 to take part in the Cardiff Ceramics Symposium when a number of pieces were acquired for the collection in Aberystwyth. Her work is raku fired allowing for irregularities which give the surface a rich and rustic appearance. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics.
