Daphne CARNEGY

Dates: 1947-

She originally trained as a French teacher and first learned pottery in France but later returned to study ceramics at Harrow School of Art. She set up a studio at Kingsgate Workshops, London in 1980 to produce a range of domestic ware where she specialised in colourful tin-glaze earthneware decorated using bold designs of fruit and leaves.  In 1993 she published Tin-glazed Earthenware (A&C Black).  She is a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association.
