European LIMOGES

Dates:

Some porcelain was produced in Limoges in the 1780s but the majority of Limoges porcelains were made after 1850. Limoges became the centre of the French ceramics industry from about 1850 into the 20th century and a large number of manufacturers were located in the area. Its hard paste porcelains were popular in the UK.
