Martin LUNGLEYTea for Two (yunomi)
Teapot, milk jug (not shown), sugar bowl and 2 cups and saucers.Thrown in porcelain with an iron glaze and fired in an oxidising temperature to 1270C. The throwing rings are left very clear and each piece has a gentle indentation. The cups or yunomi (the Japanese word for tea cup) have no handles to interrupt the line, with the emphasis on the form avoiding any sense of applied decoration. |
