Working and living in Northern Ireland, teapots have been Peter’s passion since 1987. A chance finding of a photograph of a ‘Whieldon’ teapot (c.1760) made a lasting impression on him at the same time as he found salt glazing. His output is largely limited to the manufacture of individual, functioning teapots. He uses the techniques of pressmoulding, extruding, pulling, throwing, turning and cutting in assembling his sculptural forms. Peter trained at the York School of Art and Royal College of Art.
