UK STAFFORDSHIRE

Dates:

These are examples of ceramics made in Britain in the nineteen century, largely in the potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, a federation of the six towns of Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Stoke, Fenton and Longton. Decorative techniques range from colourful glazes of Whieldon ware to hand painting, transfer and lustre. Many wares were for domestic use, but also included decorative wares in the shape of animals and small figures.
