During her training at Harrow School of Art 1971-3 she became interested in salt-glazing, a technique that she has continued to use ever since, firing in an oil-fired kiln. Landscape is an important inspiration in her work and she seeks to convey a spirit of natural form. Her teapots, cups and mugs are kept to simple clean forms to allow the texture of the clay and the warm colour of the glazing to predominate. Since 1984 she has also specialised in making bird baths in sculptural shapes.

Small teapot in grey stoneware body with cane handle. Covered with slip under saltglaze. Light orange/pink saltglaze with orange peel effect on lid, spout and lugs.
