Trained by her parents, she first began to model clay figures at the age of 4 and sold her first pieces at the age of 7. She develloped her own mythological figures based on Mexican culture and went on to win national awards and exhibit internationally. She works with different materials including 'pastillaje' a mixture of stones, clay and earth as well as coloured engobes in clay
